Product Provider (Author) Registration Application / Product Publication Application

As draconian as the following standards and terms may sound, they should be no cause for concern to the vast majority of authors for the vast majority of their works. We want our site to be a friendly home for authors as well as their readers. We want books; we need books. And we want your books to be successful here. It is for precisely this reason, as well as our responsibility as online citizens to adhere to certain standards which protect society itself, which compel us to reject material which many would find either repugnant or harmful.

To begin the registration process, you must submit a complete Product Provider Registration Application via our website. This will include agreeing to adhere to the terms of our Academic Author Agreement. In this application, you must provide accurate information. You may not impersonate any person or use a name that you are not legally authorized to use. 

We will evaluate your application and will notify you of your or your product's acceptance or rejection for the Publishing Service. We may reject your Author Regisration or your Product Publication application if we determine (in our sole discretion) that you or your Product(s) are unsuitable for our Publishing Service. Unsuitable products may include material that, for example, constitutes or promotes obscenity or pornography; constitutes or promotes violence; constitutes or promotes hatred or revenge or acts motivated by same, constitutes or promotes discrimination based on nationality, ethnicity, race, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, or age; constitutes or promotes illegal activities; facilitates specifically illegal gambling, sweepstakes or lotteries; solicits money or investment contrary to applicable law or rule; includes "downloadpress" or variations or misspellings thereof in the Work submitted or ancillary materials thereof; states or implies that we endorse the Work; or otherwise violates intellectual property rights. If we accept your application and thereafter determine (in our sole discretion) that your Product(s) is/are unsuitable, or that you have misrepresented it/them or yourself in any way, or if you fail to comply with the Academic Author Agreement or with other rules or polices we establish for the Publishing Service, we may terminate this Agreement and your participation in our Publishing Service without notice or refund.

Our acceptance of your product does not constitute our approval or endorsement, but only represents our failure to find cause to reject it at the time of submission. In most cases our initial reviews of submitted products can only be cursory. Often it may be customers who first call violations to our attention. If we accept your product and thereafter determine (in our sole discretion) that it is unsuitable according to the standards stated in this Agreement, we may terminate this Agreement and your participation in our Publishing Service without notice or refund.
